At Timp Academy, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Our Special Education team works closely with students, families, teachers, and support staff to provide individualized support based on each student’s unique needs. Through specialized instruction, accommodations, interventions, and collaboration, we help students access the curriculum and develop the skills they need to thrive. Our goal is to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, capable, and supported.

Meet Our Special Education Team
Ms. Heath oversees special classes, evaluations, IEP/Reevaluation meetings, and is the schedule coordinator for all students receiving services.
Ms. Kelly oversees services and accommodations for students in grades 1, 4, 5, 6.
Ms. Degroff oversees services and accommodations for grades K, 2, 3 and oversees Adaptive PE services
Ms. Norton Oversees speech services for all eligible students in all grades, administers speech and language evaluations, and attends IEP meetings. She is on campus on Wednesdays.
Ms. Turnbow provides weekly speech and language services for all eligible students in all grades. She is on campus Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Ms. Klein provides weekly counseling sessions for students, helps with behavior plans, performs cognitive testing, and reviews evaluation data. She is on campus on Thursdays.
Ms. Olsen provides weekly occupational therapy services for eligible students. She is on campus Mondays and Tuesdays.
Timp Academy accesses additional services as needed, including Physical Therapy, Adaptive PE, Utah Schools for the Deaf & Blind, and Utah Assistive Technology.
