Getting to and from School Safely

Keeping our students safe as they arrive at and leave school is a shared responsibility. Students who walk to school should follow all walking safety guidelines, while parents and caregivers should carefully follow the drop-off and pick-up guidelines. When driving students to or from school, children should remain safely secured in an appropriate seat belt or car seat for the entire time they are in the vehicle. Please do not allow students to exit the vehicle while you are stopped in the drop-off or pick-up line. These procedures help keep traffic moving safely, protect students and families, and create a safe arrival and dismissal experience for everyone.
